“Mark has been the backbone overseeing Touchstone’s growth over the past several years,” said Harker.  “In just 12 years, Touchstone has become the nation’s 10th largest non-captive, U.S.-based golf course management company and we owe a lot to Mark for that accomplishment.”

Luthman joined Touchstone in 2009 as its executive vice president and chief operating officer.  Prior to joining Touchstone, he served as regional director for KemperSports, including a role in opening Chambers Bay in preparation for the U.S. Open.  Previously, Luthman served as a regional director with American Golf. He is a graduate of Gonzaga University, where he earned a degree in History.

“I am honored to serve Touchstone in this new capacity and look forward to our continued development as an organization,” said Luthman.  “Touchstone is well-positioned for the next decade and we continue to develop our infrastructure and best practices to deliver the optimal blend of management services to our clients.”

Founded in 2006, Touchstone Golf is the 10th largest golf course management company in the U.S. overseeing 36 properties in 9 states.  The company serves a diverse group of ownership groups including municipalities, private owners and financial institutions. Recently Touchstone was named one of the National Golf Foundation’s Top 100 Businesses in Golf.
