New Media Planning Manager for Callaway’s European Business

Callaway has announced the appointment of Tim Lloyd to the newly created role of Media Planning Manager for its European business.

Tim joins Callaway with eleven years’ experience in media sales and planning, working for a variety of major agencies and media owners with responsibilities across TV, radio, outdoor, cinema and print advertising.

He joins Callaway’s European team at an exciting time in the company’s history. It has just launched its first adjustable driver, the RAZR Fit, and is supporting the launch of this, and other 2012 products, with print, TV and digital campaigns featuring Callaway Staff Professionals Phil Mickelson and Alvaro Quiros as they take on challenges such as the fountains of The Bellagio and floating greens at the Mirage in Las Vegas.

Nick McInally, Commercial Director of Callaway EMEA, said: “Tim’s appointment coincides with one of the company’s most ambitious advertising campaigns ever. Callaway has significantly increased its media spend in key markets this year and as a result we require someone of Tim’s calibre and experience to continue to oversee and plan future activity.”

“He arrives at Callaway with a rich media agency pedigree, having worked on household accounts including House of Fraser, Sky, Burger King and EMI Records, and his undoubted talent and experience will allow us to execute impactful and innovative commercial campaigns throughout 2012 and beyond.”

Tim, a passionate golfer, joins Callaway from his former role as Account Director at Carat UK where he worked within the company’s digital activation department, creating digital commercial strategies and planning initiatives.

He commented: “Callaway is an iconic brand in golf and to be part of this company at one of the most exciting times in its recent history is an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. I look forward to working with the teams inEuropeto plan tactical campaigns that deliver standout in all of our respective markets.”

In addition to his passion for golf, Tim is a season ticket holder at AFC Wimbledon, plays the drums in two bands, and also enjoys boxing and cycling. He takes up his new role immediately.
