Golfstream, renowned for its 100% British designed and built powered golf trolleys, has appointed Douglas Pollock as its Scotland and North-east representative.

Douglas has a wealth of golf industry experience, having worked previously for a number of influential brands including Powakaddy, Masters, ProQuip and Spalding in a 26-year career.

Douglas will be showing the all-British and incredibly reliable Golfstream Revolution and Evolution electric golf trolleys as well as Golfstream’s range of cart bags, batteries, chargers and spares.

Announcing the appointment, Golfstream MD Derek Richford, said: “I can’t think of anyone better to showcase our trolleys in Scotland and the North-east than Douglas.

“He knows the trolley business inside out, so his commitment to working with Golfstream underlines the reliability and high build quality of our trolleys. I have no doubt he will be instrumental in firmly establishing Golfstream in the golf retail and trolley rental markets this year.”

Graeme Lennie, resident Professional at the Crail Golfing Society 1786, the 7th oldest golf club in the world, has already secured a fleet of 12 rental trolleys for this season and is delighted to be ‘Buying British’.

Douglas, who will also be representing Golf Tech under his Douglas Pollock Golf company, is already demonstrating to other Golf Professionals on his patch how good Golfstream trolleys are as a rental option.

He said: “I am delighted to be representing Golfstream. Golf professionals and their customers demand performance, quality and reliability from their electric trolleys and I believe Golfstream leads the way in all these departments.

“Their spare parts back-up service is second-to-none, particularly with their own in-house British-made electronics department. Many electric trolleys using overseas components have proven to be very unreliable in recent years – whereas Golfstream’s commitment to British engineering and design puts it way ahead of its competitors.”

Douglas can be contacted on 07989 406386 about the Golfstream range.

Golfstream is Europe’s leading name in trolley spare and accessories and excels when it comes to producing reliable, 100% British-built powered golf trolleys.

The premium British-made, hand-built Golfstream Revolution with its unique ‘one-click’ folding mechanism is a best-seller. In 2012 the company introduced the Golfstream Evolution, a feature-packed electric trolley which offers high performance and reliability at a sensible price.

Golfstream also carries in stock a huge range of wheels, batteries, chargers, golf bags, spares and accessories for most popular trolley brands – which the company dispatches all over Europe.

This includes CaddyCell – a superlight Lithium-Ion battery which is more than 75% lighter than a standard lead acid battery. The CaddyCell Lithium weighs just 2.1 kilos and can be lifted with a single finger.
