Sun Mountain says it has succeeded in raising the bar in golf bag design with the introduction of its striking MID-STRIPE stand bag from its new high-end SONNENALP line offering stylish old school looks with a sleek, modern twist.
The MID-STRIPE style is one of three bags being introduced under the innovative SONNENALP brand over the coming months, with the distinctively different DUNDEE and BARON styles arriving in early 2023.
Derived from the German phrase for ‘sun on the mountain’, the SONNENALP collection places a premium on high-quality craftsmanship and takes inspiration from the brand’s popular vinyl METRO bag line introduced a few years ago.

Available from leading retailers now, with an RRP of £329/€389, the MID-STRIPE stand bag is made from a vinyl material with a modern stripe pattern spanning the centre of the bag. Weighing 2.6kg, it features an integrated hand-stitched leather lift-assist handle; a roomy four-way top; full-length dividers; seven spacious pockets with durable zippers; plus intricate details such as a leather buckle to secure the umbrella and tee holders to the side of the bag for easy access.
The Dual Lite bag strap, incorporating quick release buckles, offers a well-balanced and comfortable carry, whilst a colour co-ordinated single strap is available as an optional accessory for avid walking golfers seeking a distinctive old-school look when carrying. To offer the ultimate bespoke touch, a premium chrome plate to the side of the bag can be removed for cresting of the owner’s initials or club logos.
The seven colour combinations are white/cadet/brick; frost/navy/red; navy/frost; loden/moss/inferno; cabin/umber/wheat; black/gunmetal/red, plus black. Each bag comes with a complimentary box of 25 matching wooden tees at 3¼-inch in size.
