Sun Mountain bags win golf media plaudits

Sun Mountain has seen its ECO-LITE range and waterproof H2NO LITE SPEED stand bag credited with 2021 Editor’s Choice awards from leading UK golf magazines, Today’s Golfer and Golf Monthly.

Selected by a panel of editors from Today’s Golfer, the ECO-LITE range of bags are another industry first innovation from Sun Mountain and headline the awards picked up by the brand this year.

In a bid to reduce harmful waste, the environmentally-friendly bags had the UK’s top-selling monthly title saying: ‘Sun Mountain make a fantastic range of award-winning waterproof bags (like the H2NO), but we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t highlight how every new ECO-LITE repurposes and upcycles 20-30 plastic bottles.’

The water-resistant ECO-LITE stand (£189] and cart [£219] bags are among several innovative designs from Sun Mountain over the past 40 years, following the lightweight ECLIPSE stand bag in 1986, the release of the waterproof H2NO bag in 2007 and the Auto-Fit Dual Strap System in 2013.

The LITE SPEED stand bag [£249] – a brand-new model in the waterproof H2NO range this year – picked up an Editor’s Choice award from Golf Monthly, with the editorial team commenting: ‘the H2NO LITE SPEED is certainly ahead of its time, perhaps pointing to the future of golf carry bags’.

“We are absolutely delighted to see the ECO-LITE range and LITE SPEED stand bag receive these prestigious media awards with a reach of more than four million golfers,” said Nigel Freemantle, Managing Director of Brand Fusion International. “Sun Mountain has pushed the boundaries of golf bag innovation on countless occasions over the years and these awards truly reflect the incredible attention to detail that is applied to each and every bag that comes to market.”
