New monthly magazine for UK’s Golf Trade

GOLFRETAILING CoverSwink Media LLP has published the first issue of GOLF RETAILING magazine, a new monthly magazine for the UK’s golf trade.

The inaugural issue of GOLF RETAILING – a ‘magloid’ size publication – was published on 13 September and distributed as a controlled, free publication to golf clubs, pro shops, driving ranges, specialist retailers and manufacturers.

With a print circulation of 6,000, GOLF RETAILING claims to have the highest circulation of any title in the sector and that it is also the first UK golf trade title to be approved by ABC for audit from launch.

Miles Bossom, managing director of Swink Media, said: “I was amazed that a sector like golf retail has been poorly served until now. The three titles that have been serving this market are unaudited and their content is advertising led.

“GOLF RETAILING offers the sector an editorially-led and insightful read which is providing real benefit to our audience. We have invested heavily in our production and also circulation, incorporating a number of comprehensive sourced lists, backed up by a thorough tele-marketing campaign to register readers in advance of our launch. We are determined to provide proof to advertisers in the sector for the first time that our circulation and content is worth investing in.”

GOLF RETAILING is edited by experienced golf journalist Robin Barwick, and the print title is being fully supported by a fully-interactive website which is updated daily, by regular e-newsletters and also a digital version of the magazine.

Swink Media is a strategic business unit of Miles Publishing Limited. Miles Publishing was established in 2002 when owner, Miles Bossom acquired B2B title, Comms Business from Peebles Media Group. For the past 11 years the company’s focus has been on the telecoms and IT sector, publishing Comms Business, which is the market-leading channel title.
