There is still time to register for The 2023 GCMA Conference, which is taking place from November 12-14 at Hinckley Island in Leicestershire.

The event is the only major conference in Europe dedicated to golf club management and the 2023 edition is open to both members and non-members.

As well as providing an opportunity to meet up with fellow industry professionals, the conference features five keynote speakers, all of whom will be focusing on topics around ‘Team Culture’.

Kevin Fish, the first person in Europe to be awarded the global designation Certified Club Manager, will be giving a presentation entitled ‘Strategies for Team Culture’, while Owen Eastwood, who has worked with many of the world’s leading sports teams, including the England football team, the New Zealand All Blacks and Europe’s winning 2023 Ryder Cup team, is giving a talk on ‘Belonging – The Ancient Art of Togetherness’.

Those looking to overcome challenges in the workplace should be able to draw plenty of inspiration from a keynote speech to be given by Brendan Hall, who lead his team, Spirit of Australia, to victory in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race in 2010. A world-renowned motivational speaker, Hall specialises in leadership development, teamwork dynamics, and the art of getting the best out of people.

The conference will also include a wide variety breakout sessions and panel discussions which offer further learning opportunities on topics related to club management, plus a trade exhibition, where delegates will be able to meet key suppliers and discover the latest products and services available to the golf club industry.

Delegates are also invited to attend the Conference Awards Dinner on Monday, November 13, and a variety of social events throughout the three days.

Nestled in the heart of Leicestershire, the Leonardo Hotel and Conference Venue Hinckley Island is located close to Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham and boasts an all-day Costa Coffee bar, an on-site Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, Juvenate Health and Leisure Club with indoor pool, and extensive meeting, function and events spaces. Complimentary parking is also available for up to 600 cars. Although Hinckley Island is now fully booked, alternative accommodation is available at Sketchley Grange Hotel & Spa, located just 5-minute drive from the confererence venue.
