Dubai Golf has announced key leadership changes at two of its flagship venues, with Stephen Hubner being appointed club manager of Emirates Golf Club, while Dan Naudo has joined Jumeirah Golf Estates in the same role.
Stephen Hubner, who has been with Dubai Golf for nearly 19 years, brings extensive experience from his time within the group and a thorough understanding of the region’s golf operations to his new role at Emirates Golf Club. Dan Naudo brings considerable experience managing high-profile golf and leisure facilities in the UK and the Middle East.
Commenting on the appointments, Christopher May, CEO of Dubai Golf, said: “Stephen and Dan are accomplished professionals in the golf industry, each bringing valuable strengths to their respective roles. Stephen’s long-standing contribution to Dubai Golf reflects his dedication and expertise, and we are confident he will continue to enhance the experience at Emirates Golf Club.
“Dan’s international experience and proven capabilities in managing premier golf facilities will be instrumental as Jumeirah Golf Estates continues to excel as a destination for golfers worldwide and as host of the DP World Tour Championship.”
Hubner began his career with Dubai Golf as a Golf Professional at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, progressing to Head Golf Professional and later Director of Golf Operations. In 2018, he moved to Jumeirah Golf Estates as Director of Golf Operations, eventually becoming Club Manager three years later.
Now taking on the role at Emirates Golf Club – host to the Hero Dubai Desert Classic – Hubner aims to build on the club’s strong foundation and continue to drive it forward.
Naudo’s career includes multiple leadership roles, such as Head of Operations at London Golf Club and Director of Operations at Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland, where he also played a key role in hosting numerous DP World Tour events. Most recently, as General Manager at Sindalah Golf Club in Saudi Arabia, Naudo oversaw the pre-opening of the club, situated in NEOM and part of the Vision 2030 initiative.
In addition to Emirates Golf Club and Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai Golf also operates Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club in Dubai, and under the business of Viya Golf, Yas Links, Yas Acres Golf and Country Club, and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in Abu Dhabi. Dubai Golf also owns and operates Topgolf Dubai.
