Tagmarshal Awards for Bandon Dunes, Erin Hills, Hazeltine and Others

9.30am 29th October 2021 - Innovation Centre

The year 2021 began with a sense of optimism, and golf operators have not been disappointed as the game has continued to thrive across the country. Tagmarshal’s partners again demonstrated how implementing optimization technology, good management practices, and enabling continuous data driven improvement, have been the keys to achieving success in what has been a very busy season.

To celebrate their course partners achievements, Tagmarshal once again recognizes those courses who delivered outstanding success with the announcement of the 2021 Awards. While entry into the Tagmarshal Awards is automatic for partner courses, only exceptional performance is rewarded based on benchmarking data and measured course results.

“Tagmarshal’s focus is on building strong long-term relationships with our partners that deliver bottom line value through continuous improvement, with our courses routinely achieving ROI of $100k to +$300k in additional green fees or member gains. We are committed to developing new and innovative optimization technology that meets the challenges of golf operators head on, giving them the tools to succeed,” said Joey Walters, General Manager, at Tagmarshal’s Atlanta headquarters.

The Awards are a way of showcasing and rewarding excellence among course partners as well as instilling a strong drive for improvement, season after season. These consist of three categories – Diamond, Platinum, and Gold, as well as a separate category for stand out recipients who achieved success within a specific area.

Tagmarshal congratulates all winners, but particularly the Diamond Award winners on their high levels of performance and service. These exceptional courses have shown incredible improvements in pace and flow of play, with a positive impact on the player experience, while deploying further optimization strategies resulting in optimal efficiency, enhanced levels of service and significant increases in revenue.

This year’s Diamond Award winners include the following courses:

Other stand-out achievers included winners of the Best Newcomers Award – St. Andrews Valley and Fieldstone; Biggest Mover Award – Metropolis Country Club, and Top Innovator Award – Firerock.

“We are truly proud of what our partners have achieved this year, with courses operating under intense pressure due to the increase in course traffic. Throughout their busy season, courses large and small continued to deliver the exceptional player experiences and high levels of on-course service their members and guests love. In many cases saving costs and generating additional revenue in the process. This is a win-win for both players and course operators,” said Bodo Sieber, CEO, Tagmarshal.

Winning courses are identified based on their performance — using the below data-driven criteria:

Tagmarshal partners with private, daily fee, public and resort courses and several golf management groups including over 350 course partners across the globe, 30 of the Top 100 US courses, and many $30-$50 green fee courses.

As market leader in on-course optimization technology, the company provides courses with full, real-time operational oversight and reporting, giving golf operators the tools to manage operations effectively, resulting in enhanced player experience, increased efficiency, cost savings and additional revenue.

By adopting optimization technology, courses are able to place themselves firmly on the path to achieving success – and may find themselves recipients of next year’s Tagmarshal Awards.

Joey Walters added, “Well done to ALL our partners on your outstanding performance. We wish you all great success and continued growth into 2022. In addition, congratulations to our three partners who hosted exceptionally successful events this year. Congratulations to the Directors of Golf and their teams at Whistling Straits (Ryder Cup); East Lake (2021 Tour Championship), and Kiawah (PGA Championship).”
