SkyGolf, maker of SkyCaddie, SuperTags, GameTrax 360, SwingTrax 360, and the upcoming SkyFit Dynamic Fitting Intelligence platform, have announced a strategic collaboration with The Golf Lab and renowned golf performance expert Liam Mucklow focused on advancing the future of connected golf intelligence, coaching, club fitting, and player development.
The collaboration is designed to combine SkyGolf’s rapidly expanding SuperTag™ connected club intelligence ecosystem with The Golf Lab’s expertise in biomechanics, coaching science, advanced fitting methodologies, and technology-enabled player development.
Initially, the relationship will include:
- SDK integration and technology collaboration
- SuperTag™ licensing and reseller initiatives
- Strategic advisory collaboration
- Coaching and fitting workflow development
- Product development cooperation
- Exploration of future education and certification initiatives
Both organizations also expect the relationship to evolve into broader collaboration opportunities involving connected fitting intelligence, AI-assisted coaching systems, player-equipment interaction modeling, and future OEM engagement initiatives.
“As we have developed SuperTags and our broader SkyFit vision, it has become increasingly clear that the future of golf technology will not be defined by isolated products or disconnected data silos. We believe the future belongs to connected intelligence platforms capable of linking performance, coaching, fitting, equipment, simulation, and long-term player development together in meaningful ways.
“From our perspective, Liam Mucklow and The Golf Lab represent one of the most credible and forward-thinking organizations in the industry regarding biomechanics, fitting science, coaching integration, and practical player development. We believe this collaboration has the potential to become strategically important for both organizations as the market continues evolving toward more connected and intelligent player-performance systems,” said Richard Edmonson, CEO, SkyGolf
“The Golf Lab has built a strong international reputation around measurable player improvement, biomechanics, advanced fitting science, coaching education, and technology-enabled performance development,” he concluded.
“What excites us most about SkyGolf and SuperTags,” said — Liam Mucklow, Founder, The Golf Lab “is that this is not simply another golf technology product. The broader vision is about creating a connected intelligence layer capable of helping coaches, fitters, OEMs, and golfers better understand why golfers perform the way they do and how equipment, movement, and performance interact together over time.
“We believe there is substantial opportunity to help shape how connected data, coaching science, fitting intelligence, and player development work together in the future. That long-term strategic opportunity is what makes this relationship compelling.”
Unlike traditional shot-tracking products, SuperTags introduces automatic capture of real-world swing and club performance data on every shot or putt everywhere a golfer plays — on the course, off the course, in studios, and in simulation.
This technology provides the critical link missing in most products today that deliver valuable results, or “the what,” while SuperTags provides “the why.”
It delivers continuous swing and club-delivery intelligence capable of capturing detailed club and swing metrics in every environment while integrating into simulation, coaching, fitting, and cloud-based performance ecosystems.
SkyGolf believes the combination of connected real-world player data, advanced coaching science, biomechanics, and fitting intelligence may ultimately help reshape instruction, club fitting, equipment optimization, player development, simulation environments, OEM engagement models, and recurring digital golf intelligence platforms.
“We believe the golf industry is still in the early stages of understanding how connected player intelligence may ultimately influence coaching, fitting, equipment design, and long-term player development. This relationship is intended to help accelerate that future,” said Joey Newell, CTO, SkyGolf.
