Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters Tournament Is Back

11.49am 13th April 2022 - Growing the Game

The annual Henry Cooper Junior Masters Tournament returns to Nizels Golf & Country Club from 17-19 June 2022 following a two-year break during the height of the pandemic.

Considered one of the most prestigious Junior golf tournaments of the year, this amateur ranking tournament gives a spotlight to some of the world’s most talented junior golfers.

Back with a bang in 2022, the 72-hole stroke play competition will take place over three days, welcoming both UK and international young golfers – and hopes to welcome some junior golfers from Ukraine this year.

Entries have now opened to all girls and boys under the age of 18. National teams consisting of three players have the chance to be entered into the Nations Trophy, played for over the first 36 holes and decided using the best two scores from each round.

Players compete to win Boys’ Champion and Girls’ Champion Trophies as well as golf vouchers redeemable in Nizels’ Pro shop. 156 lucky players will eventually be chosen to compete on Nizels’ 18-hole championship parkland course located in Hildenborough near Tonbridge.

Club Director Nicky Linton-Briggs was thrilled to see the return of the tournament to Nizels this year;“We’re so excited to be able to welcome back this prestigious tournament that really does celebrate the highest standard of junior golf.”

The £99 entry fee covers participation in the event, two meals per day for all players while they remain in the competition, one complimentary practice round and the use of the driving range, as well as covering the cost of tournament prizes.
