1.30pm 19th August 2016 - Growing the Game

JGA website screen grabThe Junior Golf Alliance have launched their website at www.juniorgolfalliance.co.uk  and are now accepting membership enrolments online.

This new organization is aiming to raise the standards of children’s golf coaching by training and supporting coaches in providing fun, engaging and appropriate experiences of the game.

Their official launch isn’t until 1st September, however the new site is open to new membership enrolments now, with the entire application and payment process being completed online.

Director of Strategy and co-founder, Neil Plimmer, comments: “The new website has a clean and fresh look to it and we’re delighted it’s now live. Over the forthcoming months, we hope it will become a really useful resource for junior golf coaches. Those already coaching golf to children, or those who are interested in coaching golf to children, can join the Alliance for just £50 per year.”

Membership includes access to the MemberZone section of the site. Through this portal, members become part of the JGA community and will be able to see how other members are growing their junior golf activities, learn and share best practice and keep on top of wider industry news relating to junior golf.

Members will also benefit from significant savings on the Alliance’s comprehensive set of training courses that will be available both online and at workshops throughout the UK. The first online course, “Introduction to Coaching Golf to Children”, will be offered free-of-charge to members.

Recognising that an in-depth knowledge of the golf swing and mechanics are of lesser importance when it comes to coaching children, membership of the Junior Golf Alliance is open to people from all backgrounds, not just PGA golf coaches, who have an interest in introducing young people to the game of golf.
