The sixth Faldo Series Netherlands Championship will be held at GolfClub Dirkshorn near Heerhugowaard on 31 July – 1 August, organisers have announced. With entries now open, the country’s top young golfers are set to benefit as they compete for a spot in the Grand Final.

“Having established the Faldo Series in the Netherlands over the last five years, we are excited to build on that success by continuing to bring more opportunities to young golfers across the country,” said Faldo “We have welcomed large numbers of participants to our previous Netherlands Championships so we expect another strong field in 2015.”

“We are excited to continue the Faldo Series in The Netherlands’ said Patrick Jagers, CEO of TopGolf Holland. ‘We at TopGolf Holland jumped at the chance to continue the running of the Faldo Series in The Netherlands. To host this prestigious tournament for our young players and give them the opportunity to compete at the highest level is something we did not want to miss out on. It is our aim to further improve the competition and learning experience for the players whilst they compete this year at Golfclub Dirkshorn. I must thank the club for their support in hosting this event.”

Supported by The R&A and the European Tour, talented young golfers aged 12 to 21 will compete over 36 holes. Five age-group winners – three boys and two girls – will qualify for the nineteenth Grand Final, to be hosted by the six-time Major winner Faldo. Competitors and local children alike will also spend time with Faldo’s personal coach, Keith Wood.

Today, 40 Faldo Series tournaments take place in 30-plus countries worldwide, touching thousands of golfers each year.
