The 2026 Faldo Futures season has enjoyed an extraordinary start, with thousands of young golfers taking part in one of the UK and Ireland’s fastest-growing junior golf initiatives.
Created to introduce more boys and girls aged 7 to 12 to competitive golf in a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment, Faldo Futures has seen unprecedented participation this season, with more than 150 qualifying events hosted at golf clubs across Great Britain and Ireland.
To date, over 3,900 junior golfers have entered the series, with almost 900 players already securing places in the upcoming Regional Finals.
The scale of participation highlights the growing appetite for accessible junior golf opportunities and underlines the continued success of the Faldo Series pathway in helping inspire the next generation of players. Played as nine-hole competitions over shortened courses, Faldo Futures has been specifically designed to make golf more approachable and enjoyable for children of all abilities.
A huge contribution to the success of the series has come from the golf clubs themselves, with venues across the country embracing the opportunity to support junior golf development and grow participation within their local communities.
Parents, volunteers, PGA professionals and organisers have also played a vital role in creating an encouraging and positive environment for players throughout the season.

Regional Finals are being staged across 14 venues in Great Britain & Ireland during May and June, providing opportunities for young golfers to progress through the prestigious Faldo Futures Final, taking place on August 26-27 at The Belfry during the British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo. Winners of the final will receive invitations to compete at the Junior World Championship in California, USA.
This year’s Regional Finals will be staged at leading venues across the country, including Matfen Hall, Carus Green, Oulton Hall, Macdonald Portal, The Warwickshire, Woodbury Park, Cumberwell Park, Sunningdale Heath, Dyrham Park, Castle Royle in England, alongside Lough Erne in Northern Ireland, and Crieff and Dalmahoy in Scotland, showcasing the continued growth and nationwide reach of the Faldo Futures initiative.
