Asia set to experience golf, the Inrange® way

1.30pm 25th May 2022 - Growing the Game

One of the major highlights for the driving range industry in 2022 will no doubt be the first Inrange® radar tracked ball hit in South East Asia.

Damai Indah, the premier golfing group in Jakarta, Indonesia, have purpose built a 3 tier, 78 bay, floodlit driving range powered by Inrange® at their PIK venue, which is due to go live this summer (pictured).

Their decision to do so was driven by wanting to offer their members and guests the latest and greatest in driving range experiences.

Speaking on their excitement to have Inrange® coming to Jakarta, Damai Indah had this to say: “Our 33 years of experience in the golf and hospitality industry, combined with Inrange®’s innovative technology, will allow us to deliver fun and entertaining golf for beginners & advanced golfers, young and of-age. Together, we hope to redefine the game of golf in a different way.”

S. Christine Wiradinata – Director Damai Indah Golf Group commented:Golfers of all experience levels will now have the tools and data they need, to improve their game with Inrange®. From shot data to target graphs, a range handicap and skills based challenges – the way players in Indonesia practice, will never be the same again.

Damai Indah has dedicated an entire section of the range to the entertainment experience. Competitive socialising as an industry has exploded, where people with little to no skill, can have just as much fun as regulars. Inrange+™, the multiplayer gaming experience, brings these people together for a fun evening trying to hit targets in Bullseye, avoid the lava in Shrinking Target, capture territory in their Destroyer game and more.

The development of a purpose built Inrange partner site in the region is yet another landmark moment for Inrange.

“We are very proud to partner with such a successful group on our first project in Indonesia. This is a first of its kind in the region, and will offer members and guests a totally new driving range experience,” says Michael Hayes – Inrange Asia Sales.

The venue also boasts an 18 hole golf course ‘Spirit of the Sea’ designed by iconic course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. and the Damai Indah group own a second location, where they hope to install Inrange® in phase two of this project.

2022 has already been a year full of highlights for Inrange® – with no fewer than 6 multi-million dollar developments choosing to build their range experience with them, which sees them launch into new markets – Asia, Europe and Australia. The Damai Indah project is a major step in Inrange®’s mission to make golf for everyone.
