Youngsters will Feel The Fear at London Golf Show

12.05am 29th December 2004 - Exhibitions & Conferences

Youngsters won‘t miss out at the London Golf Show in April – they now have their own longest drive and putting competition. Feel-The-Fear (FTF), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of junior clubs, has become the exhibition’s junior partner. The company’s ethos is to make junior golf equipment fun, healthy and attractive – an attitude captured in the loud, colourful tiger logo.
FTF comes from a solid background of encouraging young golfing talent. One of the company’s sister products is LongDog – a champion of the younger game and consistent partner of bodies such as Young Masters Golf.
FTF’s managing director, Laurie Flynn, said, “We‘re delighted to join forces with the London Golf Show in this way. The great thing about the show is that it is all encompassing. Feel the Fear is a young brand yet we will feature alongside established traditional brands in a way that can only benefit the golfer.
“The UK has needed a show like this for some time. We think it will be a major success and we hope youngsters will enjoy participating in our competitions as much as we will enjoy hosting them.”
Andy Barwell, marketing director for the London Golf Show, explained, “Feel The Fear takes junior golf seriously. Their products are designed to help nurture talent and encourage youngsters into the sport. Too often youngsters are paid only lip service – not just in golf, but in many different products: second-hand, cut-down clubs as an example.
“Feel-The-Fear’s ethos is exactly the same as ours at The London Golf Show, so we were delighted to be able to link up with the company for our junior competitions. The show is an ideal opportunity for youngsters – whether they are new to the game or already enjoying it – to see what’s out there for them and to participate in a proper competition…all under the same roof.”
The London Golf Show is a four-day retail exhibition aimed at all standards of golfer and showcases the best of more than 400 exhibitors which takes place at the ExCel Centre, London, on 21-24 April 2005. www.londongolfshow.com.
