Reed signs Première Golf agreement with PGA

8.30am 15th November 2001 - Exhibitions & Conferences

Reed Exhibitions, organiser of five of the world’s leading golf trade shows under The PGA World-wide Golf Exhibitions’ portfolio, has entered into an agreement with the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland for their official sponsorship of the Première Golf event.

The business relationship between Reed Exhibitions and The PGA will provide the association’s membership with registration, travel and housing privileges. The agreement further strengthens Reed’s commitment to service the European golf industry with Première Golf, a major business-to-business golf trade event launched in 2000 in Marbella, Spain.

“Reed Exhibitions is committed to establishing relationships with golf’s leading international organisations to support the development of our global trade shows,” said Reed Exhibitions senior vice president Tony Calanca. “We are especially pleased to work with the PGA as we continue to grow Première Golf into Europe’s pre-eminent golf business forum”.

Première Golf 2001, taking place from 13th to 16th November, brings more than 2,000 buyers and well over 100 exhibitors from throughout Europe together in a business environment that includes on-course product introductions, traditional exhibitions, golf tournaments and special events. Focusing on buying groups and PGA professionals, Première Golf 2001 is presented in partnership with the PGA, Costa del Sol, the Region of Andalucia and the City of Marbella.

The PGA World-wide Golf Exhibitions’ global golf portfolio includes The PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida; The PGA Fall Expo in Reno, Nevada; Première Golf in Costa del Sol, Spain; the Ontario PGA Golf Merchandise Show in Mississauga and the PGA Merchandise Show of Australia in Sydney.
