Two new golf resorts planned for Cyprus

9.56am 8th February 2024 - Course Development

Two new golf resorts are set to open in Cyprus in the coming years as the country begins a period of investment designed to boost economic development, create more jobs and attract more visitors.

Among the showcased projects is Limassol Hills Golf Resort, which will feature a collection of 750 villas, townhouses and apartments built around an 18-hole, 6,404-metre championship golf course designed by Cabell B. Robinson. Other facilities will include a spa and wellness centre, office and retail space, plus a variety of restaurants.

Limassol Hills is currently under development, with the first residential properties and golf course expected to be delivered later this year. The project is being developed by Lanitis Golf Public Co, a company owned by the Lanitis Group and a Maltese consortium of investors.

Another planned golf development project in the pipeline is Eagle Pine Golf Resort, also in Limassol, which is projected to generate state revenues of €200 million and create 300 jobs during its construction.

Developed by Aristo Developers, Eagle Pine will feature an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Graham Marsh which will be supported by a clubhouse, pro shop, golf academy, along with a boutique hotel, spa, restaurant and an unspecified number of private residences. A timescale for its opening has not been announced.

Cyprus currently boasts four golf destinations – Aphrodite Hills, Minthis, Secret Valley and Elea Estate.
