Top Danish resort invests in new Club Car buggy fleet

12.49pm 20th October 2023 - Course Development

Club Car has announced the delivery of a new fleet of golf cars to Lübker Golf & Spa Resort in Denmark.

The luxury venue in north-east Denmark, which comprises three Robert Trent Jones II-designed nine-hole loops – Sand, Sky and Forest – has upgraded its fleet to 30 Club Car Tempo golf cars. The Tempo is Club Car’s industry-leading golf car that elevates the on-course experience with superior comfort and performance.

“We simply couldn’t cope without these buggies,” says Hans Knudsen, Golf Manager at Lübker. “We recommend everyone uses one when they play here because it’s a long course to walk. On the most popular loop, the Sand-Sky loop, it’s about a 14-15km walk, whereas an average Danish course would be 8-10km.

“During our busiest times – Friday afternoons, Saturdays, and Sundays – about 90% of golfers take a buggy, and that’s why it’s imperative that our fleet is durable and reliable, and that’s the case with Club Car. They have already made a big difference and we’ve had excellent feedback about the buggies.”

The Tempo model is acclaimed for its outstanding hill-climbing power and acceleration, as well as its safety.

Supplied by Cart Care Denmark, an official Club Car distributor, the fleet is also used to transport guests to the holiday homes around the resort, which range from 750m to 1.5km away from the clubhouse and restaurants.

Lübker Golf & Spa Resort , which is a three-hour drive from Copenhagen, was named Golf Magazine’s Best New International Course in 2008, the year it opened.
