The state-of-the-art Academy facility at Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland has recently taken possession of a Trackman 4 ball flight tracking system. This market-leading tracking technology allows coaches and players to accurately monitor and measure every aspect of the swing.
Trackman also serves as a golf simulator allowing players to compete and practice ‘on-course’ from the comfort of a heated and dry indoor facility.
The Academy, which includes a driving range with indoor and outdoor bays, and a short game area, is headed up by PGA Professional David Allen. The 29 year-old from Limavady completed his Professional Golfers’ Association training in June 2016 whilst working at Roe Park Resort.
Allen said: “I love to coach – it is something I’m very passionate about. Whether it is group, junior or individual coaching, I feel a great sense of satisfaction when I see an improvement in my clients. Even the simplest and smallest change can make a huge difference. I believe that in an ever-changing industry we must strive to be better than the next person and offer more knowledge and opportunities to enable clients to better themselves and their game.”
He added: “Custom fitting within golf is vital now, as there are so many options available to the player, and finding the correct balance of clubs which perform best can unlock those extra few yards off the tee or extra two points within a round. I am fortunate within my role to be able to custom fit for a variety of companies, and coupled with our brand-new Trackman 4, the indoor and outdoor facilities here at Lough Erne Resort provide the perfect environment for any player looking to improve their game.”
Allen will be supported at The Academy by Castle Hume’s long serving professional Shaun Donnelly.
