Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, one of Continental Europe’s Top 100 Courses, is catering to an increasing demand for first-class service with the addition of 45 new, top-of-the-range Club Car vehicles to extend its overall fleet to 70, the largest buggy fleet of any 18-hole club in the Costa Blanca region.
Speaking with a positive market outlook, Cristóbal Guerrero, Managing Director, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, commented: “We are pleased to develop our successful relationship with Club Car and align our services with projected demand from European golfers. This is a significant investment and one we have made to further enhance our guest experience.
“We have made strategic decisions to advance the resort’s facilities for both visitors and property owners, and this is just another example of our commitment to excellence.”
The Troon-managed resort in the middle of Spain’s fastest growing golf destination is the first venue in Europe to have implemented Club Car’s new Precedent i3 vehicles, launched in early 2014.
Regarded as the premier product in the market, the new models include the latest Visage GPS and touch screen technology, which come as standard.
The solution links with the club’s operating system to communicate up-to-the-minute fleet performance information and diagnostics, and provides clubhouse services on the course.
Operators can now receive, in real time via smartphone, tablet and computer, enhanced information on battery status, service notifications and detailed diagnostics that can help mitigate and prevent maintenance issues, while also administering full car control, including speed restrictions, zonal markings and staging.
Golfers using the new cars will also be able to get hole-by-hole flyovers and GPS distances to pins and points of interest, as well as create electronic scorecards to keep a detailed track of their scores.
Such advantages ensure the course and club run as efficiently as possible, and that property owners, golf members and daily players continue to experience pioneering levels of service and comfort.
The full fleet will be in operation from July 1, 2014, and with the standard cost of hire for 18 holes only €30, Las Colinas remains one of the most competitive in the area for golfers.
The tranquil setting of Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has become a much sought after destination for travellers and investors from around Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council and China. Earlier in 2014, the resort introduced prestigious new villas and plots – Enebro and Olivo Communities – to an audience of international real estate agents, which are now available for purchase. The exclusive, 330 hectare residential community offers owners a wealth of privileges, as well as an array of newly launched Las Colinas Experiences, which range from diving escapades and hot air ballooning to falconry and cultural tours of the local region.
