Forest Hills Golf Club, Gloucestershire has announced a link with Forest Sports Education, who provide further education qualifications for students interested in Sport as a career.
Forest Hills Golf Club hosted an Open Day for Forest Sports Education students on September 6th, to showcase the facilities at the Mile End Road Club and Driving Range. Students were able to get a flavour of the club facilities and coaching offered by PGA Advanced professional Sue Bamford.
If local students are thinking of a career in golf, they can now gain qualifications locally, along with other Forest based students studying sports.
The college (based at Dean Academy, Lydney) specialises in teaching sport courses to its students, including the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Performance and Excellence), the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Sport and a HND in Sports Development and Coaching (with an opportunity to complete a third year top up to make it a full degree).
Forest Hills Golf Club is hosting the Gloucestershire Men’s County Championships in May 2019.
