This season of glorious golf can now be enjoyed by visitors and members at Carden Park Hotel as the team have unveiled their brand new buggy paths, allowing golfers to use the Cheshire golf course all year round. The work is part of the £4 million refurbishment project that is being completed at the hotel and includes all main areas of the property including bedrooms, public areas and leisure facilities.
Peter Pattenden, Estates and Golf Courses Manager explains: “We had always planned to improve the golfing experience with a full golf buggy path on The Cheshire golf course and now after weeks of planning and work it is complete.
“The new path will allow golfers to use golf buggies on the course all year which previously they have not been able to do.”
The 72 par Cheshire golf course stretches to 6,653 yards and last year underwent a full bunker realignment. It is one of two championship golf courses at Carden Park Hotel, the second golf course is The Nicklaus which was designed by Jack Nicklaus and son Steve.
The golf team have also taken delivery of a brand new fleet of 60 electric white E-Z-GO buggies and are awaiting the arrival of a bespoke Bentley buggy this summer, a luxury solution for stylish brides and golfers staying at the Hotel.
Carden Park will host several important golf fixtures this summer including charity events such as the Gary Speed Memorial Golf Day on 30th June, Cheshire FA’s golf day for the charity ‘Ciaran’s Cause’ on the 17th July and the Carden Members Charity Day Open on 4th August, raising funds for disabled golfers.
The venue will also host the PGA Fourball Championship 12-14th August 2015.
