Camiral Golf & Wellness joins IMG Prestige network

2.57pm 20th June 2023 - Course Development

IMG Golf Course Services announced that Camiral Golf & Wellness, formerly PGA Catalunya, has joined the IMG Prestige global network of world class clubs and resorts.

Camiral Golf & Wellness first opened in 1999 and quickly established an international reputation for outstanding quality. It is ranked the number one resort in Spain by Golf World, which also recognises the Stadium Course within its World Top 100 Course ranking.

The 36-hole resort offers two accommodation options, the 5* Hotel, a member of The Leading Hotels of The World, and LAVIDA Hotel, aimed at the active traveller. At its heart is also the Wellness Centre that offers personalised healing and high-tech treatments, akin to those found at specialist clinics and elite athletic facilities.

Conveniently situated close to Girona-Costa Brava Airport and Barcelona International Airport, the newest IMG Prestige venue also benefits from the high-speed train line that links Girona to the rest of Spain and Europe, which provides even faster connections to different locations, including the exciting city of Barcelona.

Russell Hannah, Vice President, IMG Golf Course Services, commented: “Camiral Golf & Wellness is a unique venue and we’re delighted to welcome them to our network. We’re always looking for new destinations to offer to our club members and it’s fabulous to have one of the most prestigious resorts in Europe joining IMG Prestige. ”

David Ashington, Director of Golf, Camiral Golf & Wellness, commented: “Our resort is internationally recognised for its unique golf and wellness experience, and we’re very much looking forward to hosting IMG Prestige club members from around the world at Camiral.”

IMG Prestige is a unique club network benefit program created for members of leading clubs worldwide to further increase the value of their club membership.
