American Golf is delighted to announce the opening of the American Golf National Academy at High Legh Park Golf Club, Knutsford. Designed with the improving golfer in mind, the National Academy was opened by newly signed Stoke City Goalkeeper Shay Given.

The latest initiative designed to improve its customers’ games, the American Golf National Academy offers state of the art facilities for golfers to hone their game. With PGA Professionals in store, some of the U.K.’s best coaches on the range, the latest golf equipment and fantastic golf facilities, the Academy provides a perfect environment for an improving golfer.

Upon opening the brand new facility Shay Given commented, “Having the best facilities, the right coaches and the latest technology will help anyone who is looking to improve their game, whatever the sport. The American Golf National Academy provides all those things in one place and gives golfers of all abilities a great chance to improve. Now I’m back in the North West I’ll certainly be looking to make the most of the facility and knock a few shots off my handicap!”

Hot on the heels of coaching American amateur Jordan Niebrugge to the Silver Medal at the Open, Tour coach and new resident of the American Golf National Academy, Damian Taylor, added his support to the opening. “Working with the team at the Academy has been great and the facilities on offer in the coaching bays are second to none. I had Jordan in here just before final qualifying to fine tune a few things and he’s had the best couple of weeks golf of his life. Next week I’ve got an absolute beginner coming in to take their first swings of a club so whatever the level, the facilities and coaches at the American Golf National Academy are ideal for any golfer who wants to improve.”

With 9 and 18 hole golf courses, driving range, coffee shop, a soon to be opened children’s course and an American Golf Retail store, the American Golf National Academy has facilities to suit every golfer.

“We have PGA Pro’s, the latest technology for swing analysis and fitting, nutritionists and physical trainers to help golfers reach their peak condition and the very best equipment available so that every aspect of performance is optimised,” commented American Golf Head of Marketing Daniel Gathercole. “If it’s the first time you pick up a club or are playing on the European Tour, the American Golf National Academy has everything in place to help improve your game. And for anyone who just wants to blast some balls on the range or have a casual knock, we even cater for that too!”

The opening of the Academy tees off a week of festivities at the High Legh festival of golf. Moving forward, the Academy will be a focus for many of the company’s initiatives aimed at growing the game of golf and will act as a home club for American Golf that showcases its commitment to improving its customer’s games.
