Alcanada Is Latest Recruit to 59club’s Burgeoning Portfolio

59 Club websiteOne of German golfers’ favourite courses is the latest high-quality venue to join 59Club, Europe’s leading golf-specific mystery shopper service and a PGA Official Supplier.

The stunning Robert Trent Jones Jr-designed course at Club de Golf Alcanada is situated in the north of Mallorca in a breath-taking location overlooking the Bay of Alcudia – the only course next the sea on the island – and offers magnificent mountain and sea views, amid a mixture of pine and olive groves.

Last year, users of the popular website 1golf.eu voted Alcanada their ‘favourite European course’ for the third successive year, while readers of the leading German magazine Golf Journal, chose the venue as their favourite course in Europe … for an unprecedented fifth successive year!

Alcanada is the fourth new client from the sunshine island in as many months for 59Club, following hot on the heels of those in the portfolio of Arabella Golf: Son Muntaner, Son Quint and Son Vida.

Kristoff Both, director of golf at Club de Golf Alcanada, said: “It’s only natural to feel that your own venue is providing an excellent service but it’s difficult to quantify that without external verification. You need to be able to trust the level of feedback and insight you receive and we felt we can get that only from 59Club which has achieved excellent results with its portfolio of clients.”

It is 59Club’s ability to provide a bespoke ‘performance analysis tool’ which attracts a diverse range of clients from multi-venue groups to individual proprietary clubs. This personalised tool enables them to measure and compare standards of customer service, not just against local or chosen competitors but also the country’s top-performing establishments.

The 59Club’s mission statement reads: “Investment in bricks and mortar does not sustain and grow reputations – it is people who build reputations. You may or may not be the ‘biggest’ club in the area but you can definitely achieve, deliver and then maintain outstanding customer service.”

Simon Wordsworth, chief executive at 59Club and a fellow of the PGA, said: “Our presence across Europe is increasing and we are delighted to welcome Alcanada to the 59Club family. It will be fascinating to be able to see how Alcanada fares against, not just other Mallorcan clubs, but also the top performers across the continent.”

59Club is fast becoming the industry standard for measuring and comparing customer-service levels and analysing all key revenue streams for golf venues, and is committed to the on-going development of club managers and PGA professionals.

The unique benchmarking and training service has already benefited hundreds of PGA members and golf course operators, who utilise the company’s performance analysis tools to enable managers to compare their standards of customer service and facility offerings to those perceived as their main competitors.

The core service includes a series of mystery shopper recorded-enquiry calls and live visits, followed up with regular analysis and training to ensure venues can identify trends and improve, or maintain, service standards. It is also the only company within the golf industry that recognises, rewards and markets venues striving for, and achieving, improved service levels.
