Golf course management company Troon has been appointed to provide course development services to the new Rumanza Golf Course in Pakistan.

The venue, a 133km2 residential community in the Punjabi district of Multan, will utilise Troon’s International Division and its industry leading expertise to help advance this golf course construction project and provide a consistent quality offering to guests who visit the golf course in the future.

Working alongside the Faldo Design team led by Sir Nick Faldo, Troon will ensure that the Rumanza course is completed by 2020.

“A golf course of this quality in Multan has the potential to change the positioning of golf in Pakistan,” commented Mark Chapleski, President of Troon International. “With stunning surroundings and a superb golf course being designed, this development should inspire more Pakistani people to take up the great game of golf. We are excited to be working with the team at Rumanza as well as with Sir Nick Faldo and Faldo Design. We will use our expertise to enhance the development here in Multan and help secure its status as a must play course in Pakistan.”

The Rumanza course, a Faldo Signature design, is the most ambitious golf course construction project in Pakistan’s history and will be carefully watched over by Faldo Design and Troon as Sir Nick’s vision is developed.

Away from the course, a flourishing residential community is being developed by the Defence Housing Authority. It is being built upon the foundations of a health and well-being experience for residents which will aim to better their lives. Those who live in Multan will not only be able to enjoy the course, but will also experience a range of amenities from theme parks and extensive green spaces to state-of-the-art education facilities and healthcare services, making it one of Pakistan’s most advanced urban developments.

Brigadier Nadeem Aslam from Multan commented: “We are delighted to have Troon’s International Division on-board to oversee the development and growth of this superb course which is planned to feature here at Multan. We are confident that the breadth and expertise that Troon brings will ensure that the Rumanza Course gains prestige as a one-of-a kind golf experience here in Pakistan.”
