Two of the most influential figures in golf fashion have come together to create a new golf and sports agency, providing premium apparel brands with a dynamic 360-degree market solution.
The Trendy Sports Agency brings together TRENDYGOLF.com frontman, Ian Mcleod, and renowned golf fashion leader Louis Wolcott, to offer fast-track representation to a select number of international clothing brands.
The innovative agency will support its client roster with an integrated sales network to develop business growth through extensive and relevant retail channels, including department stores, pro shops and leading resorts. And all brands will be showcased in the company’s multi-brand Mayfair showroom.
Brands will also benefit from valuable product design guidance and complete management of marketing, PR and product placement, partnering with industry-leading experts where relevant.
Since setting up TRENDYGOLF.com in 2004, Mcleod has overseen the rise of the golf fashion business to become the most influential and respected retailer in its segment, featuring many of the world’s premium clothing brands. Such was the success that TRENDYGOLF.com USA followed in 2010 and, last year, the launch of sister site TRENDYSPORTS.com, which provides fashionable fits across the ski, bike, tennis and fitness sectors, as well as a range of swim and urban wear.
Some of the most iconic brands in golf fashion in the past decade have benefitted from Wolcott’s influence – from new launches and dynamic marketing campaigns, to sustained retail success – including J.Lindeberg, Lyle & Scott and Wolsey, the latter being the first brand to sign up to the new agency.
Mcleod said: “From our experience working closely with premium fashion brands in sport, we identified there is no service available to offer brands a 360-degree service that provides all the necessary tools to be successful in the UK market.
“Whether clients are looking to launch a brand in the UK market, or build on an established one, Trendy Sports Agency brings together all the necessary industry knowledge and skills to deliver success in a complex environment.”
Wolcott added: “The service the agency will be providing is built upon years of experience establishing brands that have gone on to be leaders in the market. Our understanding of the industry and our unrivalled list of contacts is what makes this opportunity so exciting for those brands serious about achieving success.”
