Northcroft Golf websiteSam Torrance has been announced today as an ambassador for Northcroft Golf and their range of products designed to benefit golfers who struggle with back, knee or hip related injuries.

Northcroft Golf was established to provide a solution to golfers who suffer from the typical aches and pains associated with playing the game they love.  With a range of products designed to help those who struggle with restricted mobility, primarily from the back, knee and hip, Northcroft will aid golfers to tee-up and pick up their ball with minimum effort whilst enabling them to mark their ball and repair pitch marks without bending down.

Torrance, who was recently announced as Ryder Cup Vice-Captain to Paul McGinley for the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles Golf Club, has enjoyed an illustrious playing career winning 43 professional titles worldwide to date whilst previously captaining Team Europe to Ryder Cup victory in 2002. He has also played in eight consecutive Ryder Cup competitions following his debut in 1981, holing the winning putter at the Belfry in 1985 to seal Europe’s first victory in 28 years. He currently plays on the European Seniors Tour.

Speaking about the announcement Kevin Bailey Managing Director, Northcroft Golf said, “We are extremely proud to have our products endorsed by a legend of world golf such as Sam Torrance. His enthusiasm for our products and the benefit they will have on the wider golf society makes him the perfect ambassador for us. Our products really do help to make golf more accessible and playable to those with injuries and bending difficulties. We are really happy that we are able to extend the golfing experience for many players up and down the country.

Commenting on his ambassador role, Sam Torrance, said “Northcroft Golf have created a really thoughtful and exciting range of products and it is fantastic to see something on the market that really can prolong the age in which you can enjoy playing golf. Having suffered with the odd ache and pain in the past I know just how useful the range of products is to any golfer that struggles with mobility and fully endorse their use to keep as many people out on the golf course having fun.”
