Rooster is delighted to announce its appointment by Topgolf UK venues dedicated to creating unique sporting and entertainment experiences through a fun golf game with aspects akin to darts or bowling.
Topgolf combines the fun of quick-fire target golf with food, drink and entertainment at three venues – Addlestone in Surrey, Chigwell in Essex and Watford. With over 80% of visitors classing themselves as non-golfers, there is no need to have played golf before to enjoy Topgolf. However, golf lessons and clinics, league nights and junior school holiday camps are available for those looking to hone their skills.
An innovative concept, overtaking traditional leisure activities such as bowling, darts or snooker, Topgolf uses state-of-the-art technology to electronically record microchipped golf balls when they are hit onto a specially designed 240-yard range. Balls are instantly recorded and ranked depending on the shot’s accuracy and distance in relation to the targets. The closer the ball gets to the centre, the more points are scored with targets further into the distance being more valuable.
Topgolf served more than 8 million annual visitors in the UK and US last year alone. With growth expected, Rooster’s work with Topgolf will look to deliver a strategic PR and social media campaign to build awareness and educate consumers and the media about the brand experience.
Rooster’s remit for the consumer-focused Topgolf is to develop new opportunities with target audiences and maintain regular visits to the three sites throughout the week.
Claire Kendrick, Head of Marketing UK, said: “As Topgolf continues to grow in popularity, with new events and an expansive dining and bar menu, we are delighted to bring Rooster onto the green to help communicate our unique offering. Our venues offer something for everyone, throughout the week, day and night. If you like fun, you’ll love Topgolf.”
James Brooke, Managing Director at Rooster PR, commented: “We are pleased to announce our appointment by Topgolf, a truly innovative business enterprise that will change the way we view golf. The unique point-scoring game and entertaining setting is truly addictive and makes for an entertaining day or night out.”
