12.00pm 3rd October 2022 - Corporate

Leading golf trolley brand PowaKaddy has announced the appointment of Katie Murphy as the company’s new marketing manager.

Murphy joins the Sittingborne-based company with more than two decades of experience within B2B and retail marketing. She began her career studying international marketing management, and subsequently moved into the marketing industry with MoneyGram International, where she was responsible for driving co-branded activity with MoneyGram’s key partners in the UK, Africa, and Australasia.

From there, she founded a successful baby products business and built an FMCG distribution network that included Waitrose, Ocado, Fenwick, John Lewis, Bentalls, Superdrug, TK Maxx, Amazon, and a large number of independent baby and nursery shops.

“We are very pleased to welcome Katie to the team,” commented PowaKaddy CEO, David Catford. “Her appointment demonstrates our commitment to our continued strong relationship with the trade industry, both from the marketing team and as a company. Katie’s experience working B2B and directly with retail made her the perfect candidate and we look forward to her making her mark here at PowaKaddy.”

Murphy commented: “I am delighted to be joining a business of PowaKaddy’s stature within the golf industry. Having the chance to work for a market leader in what is such an unprecedented time for both the company and the wider golf industry is a fantastic prospect. I am looking forward to working closely with our partners and retailers going forward into 2023 and supporting the continued success of the PowaKaddy brand.”
