Nippon Shaft hits the road with new PGA Tour truck

10.27am 2nd February 2022 - Corporate

Specialist shaft company Nippon Shaft has recently launched its own new tour van on the PGA Tour, as the company continues its mission to help players and equipment brands have access to the best components available to compete in tournaments.

The 28-by-8-foot Featherlite trailer made its first appearance at last month’s American Express tournament at PGA West in California, where it was manned by experienced tour club fitters Lee Oyer and Bill Constantine, who will travel in the van to nearly 30 PGA Tour events this season. Previously, Nippon Shaft shared space with other companies in an independent van.

“Nippon Shaft is very excited to have its own home out on the PGA Tour,” said Hiro Fukuda, Nippon Shaft’s sales and marketing manager. “Our representatives have been travelling the PGA Tour since 2009, but having our own tour van makes it possible to have enough inventory to serve equipment companies and the players. This is a natural progression for us.”
