With an unprecedented presence at 2014 Gleneagles, Mouton Cadet and The 2014 Ryder Cup Wine, Mouton Cadet Ryder Cup Selection, have shared with spectators, VIPs and teams, an exceptional week of golf celebration and spirit attended by 250,000 spectators and with a television audience which some estimate as nearly 700 million worldwide.

Under the shared values of tradition, elegance, conviviality and respect, Mouton Cadet and The 2014 Ryder Cup started their journey last year when the partnership was announced, in the presence of José Maria Olazábal, winning Captain at 2012 Medinah.

At a later meeting with 2014 Captain, Paul McGinley, it became obvious that The 2014 Ryder Cup would need its own special wine; the official and limited edition – Mouton Cadet Ryder Cup Selection – The 2014 Ryder Cup Wine – was born, the pride and joy of Mouton Cadet.

During a week of celebrated golf, Mouton Cadet has been a proud supporter of the Event, offering Mouton Cadet Ryder Cup Selection across the entire Gleneagles site, from official receptions to public and VIP hospitality, in the media centre and the team rooms.

In the heart of the vibrant Tented Village, the Mouton Cadet Wine Bar was an absolute hit, gathering not only a joyful crowd of spectators, all willing to share a glass of Mouton Cadet in an elegant atmosphere, but also former Ryder Cup team winners, pro-golfers and celebrities: Nicolas Colsaerts, Pier-Ulrich Johanssen, Thomas Levet, Grégory Havret and Hidetoshi Nakata, all stopping by for a taste of the Mouton Cadet Ryder Cup Selection.

As both teams are already thinking ahead to their next Ryder Cup, Mouton Cadet is looking forward to 2018, as Official Supplier ofWine to The 2018 Ryder Cup, to be held in France, at Le Golf National near Paris.

Produced by the family-owned French company Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Mouton Cadet was created in 1930 and has remained true to its origins whilst evolving into what has now become the world’s leading brand of Bordeaux AOC wines.

Sold in 150 countries around the world, Mouton Cadet has been associated since its creation with exclusive and prestigious events, including the Cannes International Film Festival, where it has been Official Supplier for the last 22 years. Mouton Cadet is now involved in golf as Official Supplier to the European Tour and to the 2014 & 2018 Ryder Cups.
