Bob Buckingham has been appointed Chief Executive Officer while Peter Wood will continue to control the company’s day to day operations as the new Chief Operating Officer. Bob is well known in the industry and previously worked with Toro developing their business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Under the direction of Stephen Bernhard the company has become the world’s leading manufacturer in the supply of sharpening systems for the turf industry. Bernhard’s reputation is built not only on the speed, simplicity and reliability of its grinders but also on its ongoing investment and research into the science of cylinder grinding, the benefits it can bring to turf.
Stephen Bernhard, who has been the company’s figurehead and driving force, will now assume the responsibility of Executive Chairman of the Bernhard Group. He will continue to be actively involved in the business and will specialise in an ambassadorial role with an emphasis on education which has become symbolic of Bernhard and Company all over the world.
