GolfBox A/S, an MSL Company announce that the Swiss Golf Federation has selected MSL’s World Handicap System (WHS) solution to manage the handicaps of Swiss golfers and serve as the centrepiece of the Swiss golf technology ecosystem. MSL’s solution will help centralise and consolidate golfer information and provide the Swiss Golf Federation with a single member view of how their golfers are participating in the sport and engaging with the game. This will support both the growth and the sustainability of Swiss golf clubs and facilities now and into the future. In addition to the centralized database, the Swiss Golf Federation will also implement the GolfBox Tournament Software to support all their national tournaments.

“We have been working closely with federations in Europe to prepare and build a WHS solution that supports our customers today with a flexible framework to ensure a seamless transition in 2020 and onwards. Our solution is sympathetic to the unique culture and requirements of golf in each jurisdiction around the world while remaining consistent to the core principles of the WHS,” said Christian Faergemann, International Business Development Director, GolfBox A/S.

“Federations today have individual challenges, unique to their business and culture, and for the Swiss Golf Federation a new centralised Association Database is an important first step leading into the implementation of the new WHS. There are many touchpoints in golf – from multiple sources – members, courses, scorecards and handicaps to name a few. Having us provide the centralised database gives the Swiss Golf Federation the ability to centralise this data and to make use for growing the game with new features such as business intelligence and analytics.” continued Christian Faergemann.

“What resonated with us was that the expertise and experience of the team from GolfBox to fully understood our business challenges and technical requirements. We have a complex environment that is not as transparent as it could be. With the new centralised database, we will now have the ability to collect, store, transform and report consistently which will provide us with the insights required to continue to innovate and grow the game,” said Barbara Albisetti, General Secretary of the Swiss Golf Federation.

GolfBox, an MSL company, has some of the World’s most experienced individuals in handicapping technology and through our established solutions and market opportunities we are widely considered the leading provider of handicapping services to national associations.
