One Golf Network, the industry backed tee time and green fee distribution platform, has joined forces with ReservaTee, one of the largest tee time sales providers, to offer golf clubs access to both companies for their golf course marketing.
Golf clubs working with either One Golf Network or ReservaTee will see their tee times or green fees actively marketed and sold through both parties channels in ‘real time’ whilst remaining totally in control of their pricing and availability.
One Golf Network (OGN) is the fastest growing distribution and marketing services for golf clubs looking to sell their live tee times and request green fees online. It does not sell directly to the consumer but offers golf clubs a ‘one stop shop’ to access a growing number of third party channels seeking to sell tee times or green fees to their online audiences. These include www.telegraph.co.uk and OGN is the exclusive UK partner to Golfswitch, the largest US and European distributor of tee times.
In 2010, ReservaTee.com will have delivered over 10,000 rounds to its golf clubs, a 907% increase on 2009 figures. More than 200 UK golf clubs currently use ReservaTee and it is the fastest growing dedicated sales channel for golf tee times.
The collaboration will see ReservaTee golf clubs tee time inventory automatically loaded onto the growing OGN and Golfswitch distribution network. Tee time inventory from OGN and Golfswitch will be loaded onto ReservaTee.com for players to book their tee times direct at golf courses all over the world.
One Golf Network, endorsed by the industry through the English Golf Union and Golf Union of Wales, is operated by Gemini Network Media and Managing Director Jane Carter said: “We are delighted to be working with ReservaTee. The aim of One Golf Network has always been to establish one hub through which golf clubs can sell their inventory- green fees or live tee times- to as many or as few channels as they wish in real time and always in control of the price.
“We are working with a growing number of golf clubs, technology providers and existing third party tee time sales agencies whilst introducing more partners to the opportunities of working with the golf club industry in the online world. We have some exciting announcements over the next few weeks and ReservaTee is a very welcome addition to our growing network.”
Paul Renton, Director of ReservaTee, said: “The opportunity to join forces with One Golf Network is an exciting one for us. Combining our live tee time inventory was the obvious way forward as we both share the same principles that golf clubs always remain in control of their pricing and availability and that the consumer needs to be confident he can make a booking online in real time and it will be honoured by the golf club. Our growth figures prove that more and more golfers are looking to purchase their golf online and we are proud to be a part of One Golf Network to help this happen.”
There is no requirement for a golf club to purchase technology to participate in OGN or ReservaTee as a tee time/green fee booking engine is supplied free of charge for managing the inventory being sold. Tee time booking software provided by ReservaTee will be fully integrated with OGN to allow seamless transfer of tee times in real time.
John Petrie, Chief Executive of the English Golf Union, said: “One Golf Network is a crucial part of the industry’s efforts to equip golf clubs to operate in the future. Our intention is to provide clubs with access to the growing number of online golf consumers whilst remaining in full control of their business and we welcome the opportunity to work with ReservaTee to expand the offering to golfers.”
Richard Dixon, Chief Executive of the Golf Union of Wales said: “It is important that Welsh golf clubs are able to capitalise on the spotlight the Ryder Cup has created for Welsh golf. Booking golf online is part of the future of the game and we are urging all golf clubs to embrace this future. We welcome ReservaTee as a partner of One Golf Network.”
