Dubai Golf has appointed Golf Marketing Services to fulfil an international PR brief after a competitive pitch process.

The brief centres on elevating and promoting the destinations of Dubai and Abu Dhabi to golfers in target markets globally.

“In terms of consistency of quality by proximity, I’m not sure any destination in the world can match Dubai and Abu Dhabi, so we’re thrilled to be representing a place that is so synonymous with excellence,” said Sam Elder, Director at GMS.

“Golfers across the world are used to seeing top-tier players tackle courses at Jumeirah Golf Estates – home of the DP World Tour Championship – and Emirates Golf Club – home of the Dubai Desert Classic – along with others on global tours annually, however we’re ready to shine a spotlight in worldwide golf media on the entire offering in the region.”

The agreement sees GMS represent facilities including Dubai Creek and Yacht Club, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Emirates Golf Club, and Topgolf Dubai, as well as three properties in Abu Dhabi; Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Yas Links, and Yas Acres.

Moreover, the agency partnership will be promoting the benefits of Dubai Golf’s new App-based booking system, VIYA, which is set to become a dominant booking platform for all golf and many non-golf amenities ahead of and during a stay in Dubai.

“GMS presented a really strong case and their heritage and experience as a leader in global golf PR is clear for all to see. We’re excited to see the partnership flourish and look forward to working closely with the team to raise awareness of the world-class golf courses, fantastic facilities, and great amenities that our destination has to offer,” commented Christopher May, Dubai Golf Chief Executive.
