Galvin Green Partners With FordParsons At Charity Swing Events

3.51pm 16th January 2023 - Corporate

Leading high-performance golf apparel brand Galvin Green has teamed up with innovative golf event company FordParsons to offer golfers a special start to the new season competing in a series of charitable fund-raising events at Top 100 rated English courses this Spring with some of the most sought-after prizes in the game.

Staged in association with award-winning sustainability brand, the FordParsons Charity Swing 2023 tournaments will be played at Woburn, Worplesdon and North Hants over a three-week period in March, with four-ball rates ranging between £600 and £750. Among the valuable prizes on offer during the new series is a set of Galvin Green waterproofs valued at more than £800 as a rolling hole-in-one prize across the three events.

The events will take place on the Marquess championship course at Woburn on Tuesday 7th March, plus the classic heathland courses at Worplesdon on Friday 17th March (St Patrick’s Day) and North Hants on Tuesday 28th March. Live scoring will be powered by Golf Genius, while other sponsorship and branding opportunities are available for each event.

Two charities close to the FordParsons business will benefit from funds raised at the three events – Keech Hospice Care and Portesbery School, that caters for children and youngsters with severe learning difficulties. Details can be found at fordparsons.co.uk

“Galvin Green is proud to be supporting the Charity Swing events that the team at FordParsons has devised and provide prizes at courses where the brand has such a strong following among club members and visitors alike,” said Ian Kapp, Commercial Director in the UK & Ireland.

Forming the ultimate rainsuit, the 100% waterproof ACTION full-zip jacket and matching ALPHA pants in GORE-TEX® fabric with C-KNIT™ backer are designed to slide and glide over garments underneath to deliver maximum protection from the elements and outstanding freedom of movement during the swing.

“We’re thrilled to be staging these fund-raising events in association with such a well-respected brand as Galvin Green as we look to bring a greater social and charitable dimension to corporate entertaining on some of the country’s most highly rated golf courses,” said Co-Founder & Director Sam Parsons, whose father Jon helped to establish brands like TaylorMade and Srixon in Europe during a distinguished golf industry career.

FordParsons was formed two years ago during the COVID pandemic by Sam and colleague Rhys Ford, who between them boast more than a decade of experience in both corporate and professional golf.

Once social distancing became the norm, they decided it was time to allow clients to reconnect with guests safely and in style. As all aspects of the conventional golf day had to take place outside, the golf course venue became the hero within a FordParsons Series they created successfully over the following months. They also became event consultants to clients such as the Professional Cricketers Association (PCA) and ran the first Pitch International Women’s Sports Golf Day at Royal Mid-Surrey GC. The 2023 edition of the FordParsons Series begins in April and a full schedule will be announced shortly.
