Durabunker Ltd has announced further expansion of its distribution network by partnering with Sports Turf Solutions Pte Ltd in the Asia-Pacific region. Covering Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Brunei, the agreement was announced following a re-alignment for the sale of synthetic bunker edging in the region for both companies. Sport Turf Solutions will bring their vast experience in the industry to continue their success in the bunker construction market, promoting, selling and installing Durabunker’s patented bunker edge solution across the region.

Rhydian Lewis, Founder of Durabunker Ltd and co-inventor of all Design Patents associated with the product commented: “We are delighted to partner with Sports Turf Solutions as we look to expand our presence and promote our brand further in the Asia-Pacific region. They bring a wealth of expertise both in terms of bunker construction and customer service throughout the territory and are well positioned to add significant value to our sales reach.”

Durabunker has a strong portfolio in the region, having worked with architects Phil Jacobs in 2016 and Robert Trent Jones Jnr in 2019 at award winning Tanah Merah, Singapore, Durabunker being used on all bunkers throughout the 36 hole complex. Royal Selangor, the oldest golf course in Malaysia also recently installed Durabunker, following in the footsteps of The Club at Nine Bridges, Heasley and its sister course and 3 times PGA Tour Venue Nine Bridges on Jeju Island South Korea.

“We are confident this move will bring more success in Asia-Pacific and help build our brand further. Transitioning from their past supply agreement, Sports Turf Solutions Ltd offered a transparency that we value highly in our partnerships, resulting in an agreement being signed off within a matter of days of introductory talks taking place. It was very clear to us what was important to them in terms of a healthy working relationship; honesty, integrity and loyalty being upper most in our conversations. This, along with their reputation in the region, gave us confidence that they were a good fit for Durabunker Ltd.”

Brad Burgess, Founder of Sports Turf Solutions Ltd added “This partnership with DuraBunker strengthens our reputation in the industry through better product quality, a reliable supply chain and partner loyalty. Our achievements in the region over the past 16 years with SandTrapper has enabled our construction teams to become the world class leaders in bunker construction through our customer support.

“As we move into the next series of projects in Asia, we needed a more stable supply of product coupled with clear messaging to the marketplace that we are the exclusive distributor for the product throughout the region. In the recent past we were involved in a messy situation where we had invested heavily in promoting a different bunker brand, only to have other sellers brought into those regions thereafter. We are confident this re-alignment will result in a very different relationship.

“We to are excited to align ourselves with the most reputable Brands in the bunker business through the advice of leading golf courses architects who also depend on the best quality products to ensure the integrity of their bunker designs remain intact.”

With multiple projects in the pipeline, it appears that both companies will share a fruitful future servicing the ever-growing demand for the strongest synthetic bunker edge product on the market.

Durabunker Ltd is a Leading Bunker Construction Specialists, based in the UK, operating under multiple patents, co-owned and co-developed by Company Founder Rhydian Lewis, for the construction of synthetic bunker edges.
