Former TaylorMade, adidas, PUMA and ECCO executive David Learmonth has just launched Wessex Marketing Solutions – a marketing consultancy with a difference. Based near Winchester in central Hampshire, Learmonth seeks to employ his vast commercial and brand marketing experience within a limited number of carefully selected golf businesses, offering flexible, cost effective support to create and execute marketing plans that will drive sales.

Commenting on the new venture, Learmonth said, “I believe that post-recession business planning within the golf industry calls for new solutions to the age old problem of developing brand equity and driving sales growth. With over 20 years sports, golf and footwear commercial experience and a track record of driving profitable growth I believe that my experience and skills, offered on a contracted part-time or project basis is a cost-effective, flexible solution that will be attractive to a number of forward thinking brands”

Learmonth brings a fresh & unique offer to the marketplace and calls upon a wealth of golf industry experience having played a key role in re-launching the TaylorMade brand across Europe in 2000, launching PUMA Golf in 2006 and most recently was Commercial Director at ECCO Golf.
