London Golf Club, venue of the 2014 Volvo World Match Play Championship, has stated the importance of a shared ‘European Tour heritage’ as the key factor behind its contract renewal with Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of electric golf cars.

Part of the exclusive European Tour Properties network of world class golf venues, London Golf Club has refreshed its existing Club Car fleet with 50 Precedent i3 vehicles, the company’s market-leading golf car.

Chief Executive at London Golf Club, Austen Gravestock, said: “At London Golf Club, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer our members and guests an unrivalled service and attention to detail.

“It is critical therefore that we work alongside the leading companies in the industry, and the prestige of Club Car’s brand, along with its European Tour heritage, ensure our high expectations continue to be met.

“The company understands our specific requirements. The excellent customer service levels at Club Car, along with its distributor Bradshaw who supplied the new cars, continues to match our own and has been invaluable in ensuring the fleet is operational all day every day.”

The Precedent i3 vehicles are all fully-integrated with Club Car’s ground-breaking interactive touch screen ‘connected’ technology, Visage, which is designed to provide golf club managers with a successful fleet monitoring tool, while also ensuring the ideal customer experience for the golfer.

“Whether it is the ability to lockdown all of the vehicles at the end of the day, or restrict them to certain parts of the course in order to protect the long grass areas we have here at London Golf Club, the control Visage technology offers is unrivalled,” continued Austen.

The system also provides golfers with precise shot and distance information and flyover video graphics of each hole.
Austen added: “London Golf Club hosts a large number of corporate golf days and a considerable number of customers who have used the technology during an event have commented on how the ability to tailor the screens with the company logos and specific contact details really helps to enhance their experience.

“The feedback we have received already from our customers has been overwhelmingly positive and underlines why it was such a straightforward choice to renew our contract with Club Car.”
