Espiche Golf has been awarded 3rd place by Golf Inc. magazine, in the much sought after “Clubhouse of the Year” award. Espiche Golf was the only club outside of the US to be nominated for this year’s award.
The Award is just recognition for the owner’s vision and ethos of Espiche Golf which has the environment and sustainability at the heart of the development.

Golf Inc. commented “The juncture between sustainability and history is best displayed by architect Nadine Berger’s use of reclaimed materials. All original stones from the pre-existing ruin and surrounding area were used to construct external walls. Solar panels, energy reflecting glass, harvested rainwater and drought resistant grasses all further contribute to the projects environmentally conscious practices.”
The Algarve Daily News recently reported: “The nomination and award is a huge boost to the vision of the owners, the Algarve’s reputation, and that of the clubhouse architect and golf course management.”
Espiche Golf is located in the picturesque Western Algarve, to the north of Lagos and Praia da Luz.
