Nike Golf, in conjunction with Archerfield Links, is delighted to announce that it will open the new Nike Performance Fitting Centre at Archerfield on July 7, 2014, just ahead of the Scottish Open.

Built with the athlete in every golfer in mind, the facility – a world first for Nike Golf – will allow consumers to experience the very best in golf club fitting, as well as offering them access to Archerfield’s elite coaching panel that includes former Ryder Cup player Andrew Coltart and leading European Tour coach Gary Nicol.

This facility, under the final stages of construction, will allow the consumer a full range of product, technology and fitting experiences, mirroring the service Nike Golf offers to the Tour athletes.

Golfers will be offered a range of packages tailored to their needs, including the ultimate three day stay at the luxury club that will see them embarking on a full club and ball fitting, game-assessment, physical fitness consultation and a playing lesson on either the Fidra or Dirleton Links.

The consumer experience will include on-course coaching and a full bag fitting using the latest technology. Their personalized, specially built clubs will be delivered to the club in time for a playing lesson during their stay. Golfers will also have a distance mapping session, whilst being shown how to use the Nike Golf NG360 app which allows players to track their progress on the course, as well as offer tips on game-improvement.

‘Nike Golf has deliberately taken some time to decide where we open our first location in the EMEA market that offers the consumer an experience that no other brand is able to deliver,’ said Angus Moir, General Manager of Nike Golf, EMEA.

‘At Archerfield Links we found a partner with similar values and ambition levels as Nike Golf as well as a facility that is second to none in a truly authentic location on Scotland’s GolfCoast. We look forward to welcoming consumers from all over Europe to the Nike Performance Fitting Centre at Archerfield and would like to thank Tom Younger and the team at the club for working so closely with us to make our shared vision come to life in July this year,’ he added,

‘We are delighted to be working in partnership with Nike Golf on this exciting project. At Archerfield we like to play a different game. We want to create facilities which are above and beyond expectation, which set the benchmark in understated luxury and service,’ said Tom Younger, CEO at Archerfield.

‘We have TPEGS, for example, who now deliver all our tuition and will offer a range of coaching options within three custom fit bays. This helps to further enhance our offering to the modern day golfer. The new Nike Performance and Fitting Experience takes club fitting and tuition to new levels within the industry and will showcase both Nike and Archerfield in a unique and unrivalled environment.’

In addition to the two stunning courses designed by DJ Russell, the Archerfield Links Estate boasts a 17th century Mansion House, ethical spa (recently voted in the top-six new spas in Europe), gym and a range of luxurious accommodation just outside Edinburgh and in easy reach by road, rail and air.
