Czech Republic SNAG Development Programme

9.34am 8th November 2013 - Growing the Game - This story was updated on Tuesday, July 1st, 2014

SNAG in Czech RepublicOctober saw the second SNAG (Starting New At Golf) training sessions to be held at the Loreta Golf Club Pysely nearby Prague.

The sessions hosted by Czech distributors Ittec, were once again very well attended and are part of the Golf in Schools project. The sessions were attended by PGA professionals, assistants and school teachers who were there to learn about the SNAG methodology, assessments and games.

The fun, practical sessions were hosted by SNAG Master Trainer Tony Howarth, who said ”This visit is my second session with Ittec in 2013 and once again the coaches not only enjoyed learning all about the SNAG coaching systems but they also had lots of fun completing the assessments and playing the games.”

Lenka Mullerova, head of the Ittec SNAG programme in the Czech Republic and Slovakia added: I am very glad to have more and more people involved and interested in teaching with SNAG and to see how quickly the SNAG coaching system has been introduced and adopted by school children. Playing golf with SNAG in the Czech Republic is the most common way for children to enjoy sport and have fun during their free time activity. We currently have SNAG lessons running in about 20 basic schools, 10 of whom are equipped with their own SNAG coaching kit. Hopefully the number will grow quickly within the next year as we are organizing SNAG promo events in sports halls all across the country over the coming months.”

The Czech Republic are benefitting from a programme that will enable many school children to be introduced to the wonderful game of golf, a vision that might not have been possible without the forward thinking of Ittec and the use of the SNAG golf equipment.
