‘Dorcas’ writes, “We are three friends who amongst other things have a love for fashion, golf and keeping fit. The idea for Golfing Glamorous was born after a golf weekend in January 2012, where whilst trying to buy some warm, and of course, stylish golfing clothes we found we were unable to find any that appealed to us. Over the weekend our idea was formed and we decided to embark on a new business to offer lady golfers a new resource for updating their wardrobes each season – as is possible for most other sporting activities.

“We know from our own experience and from research, that when taking part in any activity, woman take pride in how they look and wearing the right outfit can influence how they approach the game ahead. Subsequently being able to have a choice of outfits which make us feel good to play golf is important and sadly an area which we feel has been under represented.

“For many women, golf is a sport which is fitted into our busy schedules, wether that be shopping, school runs etc, so during our selection process of brands and collections, we have focused our choices to enable us to offer items which transition both on and off the course so you can feel confident in your golf attire without compromising on functionality.

“For our first season, Spring / Summer 2013 we have partnered with four brands (Golfino, LIJA, Ping and Pret A Golf), whom we believe offer all the key elements within their collections – modern design, wearability, functionality and of course quality workmanship.

“Each brand has its own personality and crosses the spectrum of  age groups and affordability. Our website is now live, with preorders being taken for delivery of stock from mid February.”
