Successful XT1 launch at PGA Show in Orlando

Dublin based company XT1 Golf were delighted with the reception their new XT1 biodegradable golf tee received at the PGA show in Orlando in January.

This remarkable golf tee has an impact on golfers, greenkeepers and golf courses in equal measures. American audiences were both amazed and enthralled at the achievements of the tee.

The XT1 is golf’s most eco-friendly golf tee. Made from Corn Starch, the XT1 is a 100% biodegradable golf tee. Soil temperature and moisture will affect the rate of degradation, with the XT1 commonly degrading in under 3 months.

Its innovative four prong design allows for greater ball stability, while its pronounced ridges give the XT1 increased shaft strength and durability for longer play. Its aero-dynamic design enhances driving accuracy and delivering real increased distance

As a biodegradable tee it has also found much use as a stake for replacing divots and as an aid for turf repair. Fresh turf and divots are held in place by this versatile tee and will degrade after the turf is established.

For greenkeepers it has the added advantage of not damaging mower blades, so reducing equipment maintenance.

European sales manager Shaun McBride cannot wait to see a similar reaction to the XT1 tee on this side of the Atlantic.

“After the response at Orlando we cannot wait to launch this product on the European market” he enthuses “it is truly a unique product in that it benefits so many people associated with golf: be it the player who want a longer lasting and biodegradable tee which enhances performance, or the Greenkeeper who has multiple uses for a tee which will protect his machinery and who can see a solution to the problem of divots”.

The XT1 tee will initially be available through the golf tee warehouse www.golfteewarehouse.co.uk and from April through a network of agents.
