DLF Trifolium Road Show a sell-out

10.15am 9th April 2007 - Corporate

The first of DLF Trifolium Ltd Road Shows “Practical Sustainability for Golf Courses” took place at De Vere Belton Woods Golf Club on the 28th March with over 20 local key greenkeepers and course managers attending.

The aim of the seminar was to encourage the use and benefits of more frequent overseeding within any prudent turf management program. Speakers included Derek Smith from DLF Trifolium – Why oversow and which grasses?, Martin Ward from Symbio – Creating a receptive root zone, Simon Ellsworth from Syngenta – Primo Maxx and Andy Cole from PSD Agronomy – Managing a Quality Sward.

There was also a practical demonstration section which included overseeding and aeration techniques from Keith Kensett of R & K Kensett using Graden and Gwazae machines.

The delegates commented that the seminar had been very informative and that they would be taking many of the ideas presented back to their respective clubs to benefit the course as a whole.

There are two further opportunities to take part in a road show this Spring. On 17th April at Pedham Place in Kent and 19th April at the STRI where people will also have the opportunity to visit the world famous amenity turf trials.
