Working with RunWild Media – publisher of Canary Wharf Citylife, E1 Citylife, SE1 Citylife and the Royal Docks Review – the London Golf Show will produce a magazine with a 60,000 print run.
Like the rest of RunWild Media’s portfolio, Chip & Pin will be distributed in the Canary Wharf Estate, where the company enjoys exclusive magazine distribution rights. In addition, every visitor to the London Golf Show – which returns to ExCeL from 26-29 April – is entitled to a free copy.
Andy Barwell, the marketing director for the London Golf Show, said, “This is something of a departure for us, for while we have produced a show guide in previous years it has not taken the form of a traditional magazine, nor has it been distributed outside of ExCeL.
“RunWild Media has an impressive portfolio of magazines and a very professional team. And as the official print media partner for ExCeL and with exclusive magazine distribution rights in Canary Wharf, the company is ideally placed to produce just the sort of magazine we want.”
Chip & Pin will feature interviews, features, tips, columnists and numerous competitions. The sales director for RunWild Media, Eren Ellwood, explained, “We were delighted to be awarded the contract for Chip & Pin. Certainly as a specialist Docklands publisher I think we ‘ticked all the boxes’ as far as the London Golf Show is concerned.
“Even as a one-off publication, the magazine will sit nicely alongside our existing portfolio. E14 is the highest-earning postcode in Britain, so ExCeL is an ideal place for a show of this kind and our distribution network is ideally suited to get the golf message across to the people living and working in this area.
“Advertisers will benefit from a much larger audience and a huge print run. Around half of the print run will be distributed in the week running up to the show; 3,500 of which will go to our business subscriber list throughout the Canary Wharf Estate, which includes CEOs and the directors of many FTSE 100 companies.
“But it’s not all about advertising. We have engaged the services of an experienced editorial team to ensure there is sufficient content to maintain interest long after the show has closed its doors. Their brief is to ensure there is a mix of content to appeal to all ages and genders. We think Chip & Pin will be well received by everybody.”
