Ping sponsor England’s top players

12.05am 4th May 2005 - Sponsorship & Events

England’s top players will be sporting a fresh new look this season following a sponsorship deal with Ping. The 26 members of ELGA’s elite squads will wear clothes and waterproofs from the Ping Collection and carry Ping bags, embroidered with the pink England logo.
A group of squad members have just visited the Ping-owned Gainsborough Golf Club in Lincolnshire to be kitted out. Among them was Emilee Taylor, from the Elite Potential Girls‘ Squad, who is a member at Gainsborough. The 15-year-old gave the new look her vote of approval and said, “It’s a really fresh image and great for ELGA. All the girls love it.”
With her were Elite Performance Squad members Rachel Bell and Naomi Edwards, who both play at Ganton in Yorkshire; and Jodi Ewart (Catterick) from the Elite Potential Girls Squad.
Dave Fanning, Ping’s European marketing manager said, “We are delighted to sponsor the ELGA Elite squad. For many years now, PING has kitted out many of the leading American collegiate teams so this sponsorship is a natural progression for us. It’s great to help out such a talented group of individuals.”
