Improving your golf swing at Quinta do Lago has never been easier or more flexible after the Portuguese resort launched a new online coaching platform at its golf academy.

Golfers of all ages and abilities can take advantage of tailored one-to-one tuition from the Algarve venue’s team of professional coaches, with an array of online sessions available to book.

Monthly programmes, live private sessions and expert swing analysis are among the options on offer at the online academy, with Quinta do Lago’s coaches on hand to offer instant feedback to golfers all over the world so they can keep on top of their game from the comfort of their own home.

Jose Ferreira, director of golf coaching at Quinta do Lago, said: “The beauty of the new online coaching service is that it allows players to train, whenever they want and wherever they are in the world.

“Online coaching is perfect for those people who are not able to visit us in person. The sessions are tailored to each player’s personal goals and equipment and no two sessions are the same while, to help a golfer’s long-term development, we will design a training plan that will support them on an on-going basis.”

Created initially to help Quinta do Lago’s residents and members practice during the Covid-19 lockdown, golfers can choose from a range of online coaching programmes to help improve all aspects of their game with the new service.

With the ‘Monthly Programme’, players will receive weekly video analysis on their swings, expert advice, specific drills and training for improvement, as well as two, 30-minute, one-to-one sessions for live and interactive coaching via video calls.

A 45-minute interactive one-to-one coaching session with a golf professional tailored specifically for a player’s individual needs and development is on offer with the academy’s ‘Live Private Session’, while ‘Golf Swing Analysis’ video tuition is available for people seeking expert analysis, advice and tips on how to quickly improve their technique.

Quinta do Lago’s features three 18-hole championship golf courses – the North, South and Laranjal – and extensive practice facilities, while it is investing a further €7m in a golf course improvement programme this summer.
